Comment by Colleen Del Bane~Creator~ on February 17, 2010 at 2:44pm - I don't know anything at all but it may just be a bite or something. It could also be a fungus animals have what is referred to as hot spots that you put foot fungus medicine on and it goes away. Best to just take her to the vet.

I need a bit of help...While I was cleaning Stinkers cage, I picked her up and noticed a lump under her arm. I looked in my rat book, and I think she has a Mammery Tumor.
I'm going to bring her to the vet, but do you have any facts on them ?

- When my older boys were little There was a rat in our wood pile it was brown and white. My kids and husband were freaking out because i said i was going to catch it. They were sure I was going to get bitten. To make them happy I got a towel and put it over him to make sure he wouldn't bite me. He was so calm that i instantly took him out ogf the towel. he crawled all over me and then wrapped himself around my neck and went to sleep. I named him Splinter because he came out of the wood pile.

- Tracy, I have had pet rats. They are quite nice and are very intelligent. I prefer females, but they're a little hard to sex when they are babies, so I usually have ended up with males. Well, boys are nice too.
